Personalised advertising already stalks us on the web! And now it is coming to our TV’s. with Channel 4 the latest broadcaster signing up to use Sky’s AdSmart to target commercials.
What is Sky | AdSmart?
AdSmart is Sky’s system for targeted, addressable ads, which are commercials that can be swapped out and personalised based on location or other personal data. For example, Sky wont advertise their broadband if you are already a broadband customer.
So If you are posting pictures of your pets on Instagram or Facebook and you have a Smart TV, expect to see Pet Food Adverts on a regular basis!
