Left-hand leaders

Even though left-handers make up a small percentage of the world's population, many of them have had very important jobs and roles.

Former US president Barack Obama is a lefty and so our future King of the United-Kingdom, Prince William.

Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo, famous artists and sculptors were also left-handers.

Music artists like Noel Gallagher, Eminem, David Bowie, Celine Dion, Sir Paul McCartney and Jimi Hendrix also left-handers.

Our very own Chris Quick, one of the Directors of Crusade Computer Solutions is a lefty too.

Left wasn't always right

Prince William's great grandfather George VI was forced to use his right hand to do things.

Until recently in the UK left-handed people were forced as children to use their right hand, this still happens in some countries today.

If you were a lefty, you would of been accused of witchcraft

In Britain in the Middle Ages, lefties were associated with the devil and were often accused of the crime of witchcaft, punishable by death (burned at the stake).

Left handed fun facts

4 out of the 5 designers of the Macintosh computer were left-handed.

10% of the world population are left-handers.

Left-handers have better underwater vision.

There you have it, Happy Left-Handers day.
