Paul Ryan at Connexions requested our assistance with moving their office to their new premises in Bermar House, Cannock. He required his existing network infrastructure moving to the new building, and to have his new offices prepared for network connections. In addition, the email domains associated with the company needed to be imported into Office365.
Upon inspection of the new offices, it became apparent we would need to re-cable the entire network infrastructure to suit Paul’s needs. To that end, we installed a small-profile server cabinet to house the networking equipment (broadband router, WatchGuard firewall and network switch), and installed and cabled in 33 new Ethernet points in the office while removing the old, redundant cabling.
As part of this move, we supplied and installed a WatchGuard firewall and wireless access point (AP) to provide protection to the company internet connection and ensure the company Wi-Fi covered the entire office.
The three email domains associated with the business (tempconnexions.co.uk, sportzconnexions.co.uk and healthcareconnexions.co.uk) were each individually imported into our hosted Office365 portal so that we could administer them effectively, and all staff were supported in connecting to and using their new mailboxes. We also ensured that no loss of historical emails occurred during the process.
